Cargo Trading

Summary

Fenwick is one of the inner Islands and is the home of the Electrosteel Rock. It is a cluster of four islands. It used to include a fort with no windows and doors. It has a Dockmaster and a Trader on the Southeast island.

It is one of the ports associated with the Rookie Run. There is no special cargo located at this location and cargo rates are lower than average.

Cargo Trading

Summary

Fenwick is one of the mid-tier Isles and is a popular destination for miners due to its Onyx mine and gemstone rocks. It has several specialty vendors only found here, a Trader, and a Dockmaster. These features tend to draw players to stay at the island rather than trade.

This port has Fish Cargo which provide higher payouts than the standard rates listed below. It is an acceptable location for cargo trading, although not a frequent stop for most merchants.

Summary

Fort Verner is a spawn island and the home of the Hallengard faction. As a result, it has all of the main vendors available on the island. It is considered a hostile location for many traders due to Hallengard being hostile to all other factions in the game.

The dock at Verner is considered one of the best in the game, despite the placement inside a ring of rocks. As a result, it is an ideal stopping location for traders, although be careful of the two mortars facing the dock itself.

Summary

Harrisburg is the island in the northeast and is a key location for mining coal and iron. It has a Warehouse, Dockmaster, and Trader. The island is one of the stops on the Triangle Trade Route and sees a lot of traffic, especially from larger trade ships and experienced merchants.

The island has two ports, one for Fish Cargo (red circle) with higher payouts and another for standard cargo (yellow circle). The standard dock requires course corrections to hit properly. The Fish Cargo dock is positioned in a good spot for quick loading and unloading.

Summary

Cannoneer’s Key is an outer ring island in the southwest of the Grand Isles. It is a popular location for miners due to the four Onyx Rocks on the southern side of the Key, as well as a good spot for timberfelling. It has a Warehouse and a crafting table making it an ideal spot for material grinding. It also has a Fish Trader.

This is considered to be the worst dock in Tradelands due to the west facing cove that ships must enter in order to trade here. The rocks, docks, and other obstacles have a tendency to trap ships. You can only enter this dock with a ship that has a high bowsprit

Summary

Nassau is the spawn island for the Nassau faction. As a result, it has all of the main vendors available on the island. While not hostile to traders, it is not considered a safe port due to low population. It is remote enough that pirates do not usually raid here.

The dock is one of the better ones as it can be approached from the downwind position. However, it requires a course correction for most routes due to its remote location. The lighthouse makes it viewable at a distance at night.

Summary

Nova Balreska is the spawn island for the Nova Balreska faction, and the former Verdantine faction. As a result, it has all of the main vendors available on the island. It is generally considered a safe port but isn’t the most populated since most of its citizens are on the seas.

The dock is one of the better ones as it can be approached from the downwind position. It is an ideal stopping point for traders who are trading on the inner and mid-tier trade routes.

Summary

Perth is one of the inner islands and is made up of two islands separated by a sound. The northern island includes a Trader and a Dockmaster. The southern island is used for mining. The island is a part of the Rookie Run but is otherwise not visited very often.

The dock is positioned into the crosswind and is placed in almost exactly 90 degree angles making it good for cross wind sailing. The southern island makes any downwind operation difficult, thus making Perth almost exclusive to crosswind ships only.

Summary

Blackwind Cove is a mid-tier island and the spawn for the Blackwind Pirates faction. As a result, it has all of the main vendors available on the island. It is considered hostile to all traders due to the Blackwind Pirates being hostile to all other factions. Still, it is one of the most profitable trade routes for those who know how to limit dock time here.

The dock is positioned in the downwind position but requires some practice to dock without performing course corrections inside the cove (where traders become vulnerable).

Summary

Salem is an outer island that is a part of the Triangle Trade. It is a popular destination by traders and is frequently visited by large merchant ships that are using it as a trade stop. The port has a Trader, Dockmaster, Warehouse, and a Bounty Hunter.

The dock is positioned in the downwind position and can be approached from nearly every trade route without course correction. This makes it ideal for any ship, especially large ones, as it is possible to trade here with zero dock time.

Summary

Whitecrest is the spawn island for the Kingdom of Whitecrest faction. As a result, it has all of the main vendors available on the island. This is the safest port in the Grand Isles for traders as it is almost always populated with defenders.

The dock is positioned on the northern side of the cove and as such is difficult to approach from some angles. It’s awkward position may require you to go against the wind to exit and as a result. It is a challenging port to navigate, and cannot be done without course corrections.
